Flights and transport
We have to reach Colombo (CMB) - the island's main international airport. From Poland, flights are available with 1-2 connecting flights via popular hubs such as Doha (Qatar Airways), Dubai (Emirates or FlyDubai), Abu Dhabi (Etihad) or by charter: from Warsaw, Gdansk, Poznan or Katowice via Rainbow office.
Travel time is 13-18 hours, depending on the connection, and prices range from £2,800-4500 roundtrip for 1 person - depending on the carrier chosen, amount of luggage and date configuration.
Recommended combination: Qatar Airways/Emirates/Eithad - by the particular convenience and comfort of the flight, and the fact that you can take sports equipment within the kg limit of the fare purchased at no extra charge.
📍Pro tip: If you dream of combining sightseeing in Sri Lanka with kite camp then plan an extra 3-4 days before or after camp. I can help organise excursions.
After landing in Colombo:
There will be my trusted driver waiting to take you directly to Kalpitiya. Look out for your name on the sheet. The transfer takes approximately 3-3.5h. Cost: €75-90 (passenger/bus)
It is also worth taking a local SIM card with internet (operator: Dialog) to the airport and exchanging some cash. The KSL operates mainly in EUR, but it is worth bringing local currency with you for shops or for tips.
Summary
Feel the progression in a place that is truly conducive to development - daily wind, flat water, sessions without a wetsuit under my coaching guidance and a unique climate of exoticism. So what's ready for a winter progression in paradise?
Why train with me?
Because I know what progression looks like from the inside. I myself have walked the path from my first jumps to competing in the World Cup - and today I help others overcome their own barriers. I focus on the individual approach, video analysis, technique and mentality, but above all - on what makes you have the most fun swimming.
I don't teach “from a ruler”, I teach in a way that really works and gets results. I know when to push and when to let go - because I've been exactly where you are. I see your potentials and I see the resistance. I teach what I feel makes sense to work for you!
